Default 1Gb... any larger?

I have heard some rumors about a 2GB and 4GB PNY thumb drive coming out? Has anyone else heard this?

I picked up 6 gig my local "Best Buy" a few days ago. It cost me $119.00
6 gig is a lot of portable data capacity!

Technology these days , I use a 1Gb SD card with a HP USB digital drive as my memory stick type thing, I've never needed anymore than that, usually I only copy a few word documents , mind you I wouldn't be surprised with these things as usual your ripped off a few meg, eg: a 6Gbwould give you about 5730 meg or something like that.

i think i saw an 8GB at best buy recently, but I could be confusing it for something else. I think it was around $150.

What's the point in buying memory cardsfor 8gb, if you want something that big... why not buy a portable hard drive

I have to second thrawn, I don't see why you would want an 8gb would be much more economical to purchase a portable hard drive - you'd also get a lot more space as well.

oh, i'd be happy with a 1GB SD card! mine has a much smaller file size that i gave up including pictures among my music files. i'd love to store lots of mp3 files in my SD card for my ipaq.

I was wondering why you'd need all that memory in a portable situation. What kindof work are you folks doing on your laptops anyway?

It is nice that they are making technology so affordable, though.

There are 2 gig flashdrives, but you're not going to get scores of gigs onto a flashdrive with current technology. It's a possibility for the future. Remember Zip drives?

External hardisks can be up to 320GB or more. As for flash disks, the largest space available on the market right now is 8gb. A 1gb flash disk could cost up to 20$ (1000php) right now.

The best buy for a PNY drive right now is a 2gb. Its' price is right for a 2gb space. And the largest drive available in the market right now is a 10gb flash disk.
