Do you have a preference between ATI or nVidia?

nVidia have the 7800 GTX model which will certainly make games look very good .

ATI on the hand have the X1900 card and it claims to be the world's fastest consumer graphics processor!!

Both are worth looking at, but if I was deciding I'd say nVidia but then again I don't know why!

I have always used nVidia, so i have to vouch for the 7800GTX. My friend has it in his computer, and its awesome! BF2: SF run so good on it! Everything is so crystal clear, and the details are amazing.

Well as for me, I suggest you ger Radeon Powercolor ATI x1950 will definitely be kick #$%! I only have a X1650xt and there are no problems as gaming is concerned. I just spend more on my RAM which is a 2GB and two 1GB 800 MHZ kingston value ram.

For gaming purposes, I believe that ATI is the best graphics card for it. I'm currently using a x1600 xt at home and it can definitely give me the video I need when gaming. All you need to upgrade too is your RAM cos that is the carrier of tasks for your pc during game time.
