Default Headphones/speakers?

Normally when I'm playing games I use speakers but if its late and my family is asleep I try to use headphones but I find that I don't hear things properly, e.g. Battlefield 2 - artillery sounds too loud and distorted and when you hear gunfire you find it hard to tell where its coming from. Its alright for games like Sims 2 where sound doesn't matter as much but for FPS's it is, does anyone use headphones and if so what make are they?

I use a wireless headphones. The brand is Sennheiser and the model is RS 116. It's very comfortable and I use it for games, music, and movies. The only negative thing about it is that the mid-range is not very good.

Note: If you're planning on getting wireless headphones, you should research them first because tuning to the right frequency can be hard. If you don't have the right frequency, you'll hear static noises as you walk, or while moving your head.

I havbe a set of Motorola Bluetooth headphones. They have excellent sound quality and best of all if your computer has a bluetooth connection, they are wireless.
