Default Textmates

In our country, people are more fond of texting than calling as it is a cheaper way to stay connected. In fact, we are noted as the text capital in Asia. Some of the younger generation have textmates and they text them most of the time and some even see each other and develop a relationship afterwards. I know this is not common in other countries, is it?

I'm from new york city and I definitely text alto more with my friends than talk. I think its taking over a big chunck of the talking population and definitely making email obsolete.

It is a shame if you think about it. The more technology that is produced the less we alk to each other without having to type it into a keyboard.

I have also noticed that technology has slowly minimized our personal touch with others. As of the moment, I am working online and I am a remote staff taking care of a website. Although I love my job, I also realize the impact that it has made in my social life. Although I still try to connect with my friends/former officemates, it is a lot different than when you see them everyday.

Yes texting is becoming much more prevelant! It's not necessarily a bad thing though. It's easier to communicate with someone when we're buy. Without cellphones we wouldn;t even be communicating to begin with. But with them it's still hard because we're continuaously busy. Now with text, we do not need to stand at attention listening to a reply. We can actually do what we're doing and then read the next text as soon as our hands are free.
