Default A query on Nokia 6600

Hi Mates,

I am using Nokia's 6600 phone and I have a query to put across with that! Does any one have any idea as on whether we can set MP3 songs as our ringtones? I am very sure that Nokia 6600 by itself does not support MP3 formats to be set as ringtones but there should be some application which would help us achieving this. Does any one of you have any idea?

Whatever happened on this? Did the hack work?

I think it will work, though I have mp3 support on my Motorola and even in the last Sony ericsson set also. It is also possible to have that in Nokia otherwise you can always convert you mp3 file to the windows media format which is supported by Nokia. I guess that will work.

It is possible to convert MP3s into ringtones. BUt it eats up lots of memory space. So it is advisable to use midi files aas ringtines. But if you have a large memory space go ahead and put your mp3 as ringtone.

In terms of memory, I think the most that the 6600 can carry is 128mb or 256mb. If it is more than that, the phone hangs or won't function well. And I think you can download a certain app so that you can make an MP3 file as your ringtone.
