Cellphones with Hard Drives

I feel so ignorant. I just became aware that some of the new cellphones have hard-drives in them. I am looking for a little crash course in terms of what is considered the cream of the crop for this devices.

I am a little hesitant from a durability standpoint, but still greatly intrigued.

I know of the Samsung SGH-I300 and the Nokia N91.

When I say know of them, I mean I know they exist, and have hard drives.

So anyone with better insight to hard-drive cellphones care to bring me up to speed?

It's news to me too, but you don't need a big hard-drive for your cell phone.

I mean you need a big hard-drive for your computer because you have documents,files,music,clips,pictures to store on it.

I'm guessing you need this to store pics on cellphone? Just transfer the pics to comp.

Hard drive?? What on earth can you be stoing on your cell that would require a hard drive? Music?? Applications?? Movies??

I just don't see the need..

It is mostly those Music Phone that have Hard Drive in it.
I don't see the need tough.
Phone is phone, Music players is music players.

I have heard Memory cards, xD cards, SD cards, memory sticks etc for cellphones but hard disk in cellphone is really news to me. May be you are mistaking any of these storage devices with hard drive?

With music files and now some phones doing video, I could see a need for more space. I would not want a hard drive in my cell phone though, because hard drives are so touchy.

Really it was just a matter of time before this happened. Now that the new cell phones offer your music a home as well as photos a hard drive makes since.

Sufi is right me neither i didnt heard about cellphone with hard drives, as far as i know Memory Cards are the one used for cellphones not hard drives, because Memory Cards can be up to 2GB size capacity, to save picture, sounds, and even videos. Because when we say hard drives it comes to size starts at 10GB to 80GB capacity.

Not only a Cell phone has hard drives these days but the space of the hard drive is also quite good. This is because of the popularity of Camera and music phones.

I think it is a larger capacity Flash Drive but not a hardisk. Some phones might need hardisks because of softwares that they are using. There are some phones in which you can even install a MSoffice in it.
