Getting pictures off Camera phones...
I have a camera phone, but I live in Canada and the provider is Telus... Now, it seems that the only way to get the pictures off the phone is to login to your telus account on the internet and pay $0.25 per picture, just to get it off your phone... If you ask me that's highway robbery... What the heck would I want a picture phone for if it's going to cost me just as much as developing normal film? It seems to me, that it should be possible to simply extract the pictures off the phone with a USB cable and the appropriate software... Can this be done? Does anyone else have a similar problem with their provider? Anyone know how I can get these pictures off my phone without paying an arm and a leg with the number of pictures I take?

I totally agree!! When I had AT&T I could use a USB cable or email photos to my email address.
Now that I have Verizon, the only way to do it is like you said. Pay to get it from my Verizon "locker"... that sucks! It's my damn picture, they are just raping people for cash with this business practice! :complain:

Seems to me that we should really complain if they charge us for developing/saving our pics. Afterall, we bought a cam phone for the purpose of taking pics and then it is still the same, it is like spending for developing???

Re: Getting pictures off Camera phones...
After reading this thread I totally hooked up my motorola to my laptop using a USB cable and it recognized that its a motorola but I'm not sure where to go from here. There seems to be no software for this. Hmmm.

My memory stick pops out or I can connect via USB. I agree that it's highway robbery.

Re: Getting pictures off Camera phones...
I personaly just email my pictures to my email address. I then just save them to my computer and print them from there. However, make sure you have your phone set up where it doesn't charge to send the messages. If so you could still end up paying quite a bit.

I look at my pics on my cell so often that by the time I should download them I'm over them. The ones that really mean something end up as wallpaper

Re: Getting pictures off Camera phones...
i just got my current phone as a hand-me-down from my mom since she has extra 2 phones and she hasn't sold them yet. anyway, i didn't know, too, before how i could transfer my photos to the PC since it didn't come with a USB cable. luckily my sister told me i just have to use the phone's infrared to transfer the files to our laptop. well, if we didn't have a laptop it would have been a problem to me...
i totally agree that that's highway robbery. what is the model of your phone, gadget sniper? perhaps anyone among us knows someone who owns the same model and might help you with it. there must be some other way to transfer your files.

Re: Getting pictures off Camera phones...
You can easily download you photos from your phone by Bluetooth (if you have), otherwise by simple data transfer via USB port. If you don't have the software then you can download it from the Net.
