Default Back up drive

Does anyone else find it worth it to back up all their info on a portable hard drive? I do it in case I ever drop my computer but wonder if I'm being too particular.

It's actually a good idea. I'd be lost without my laptop so you've inspired me to be more careful and back up my data.

I will probably be one that down loads to the desktop on a regular basis, but I don't know. I just have this picture of a tiny memory bank on laptops.

But I know I don't back up that drive as much as I need to - so maybe I just need to make that a scheduled event each week? month? day?

Its right to back up your files, especially those files that are important, because someday we didnt know what will happen, its better to be sure than everything becomes worst at all.

We mostly back up to other PCs in the house rather than a dedicated storage drive. Although we do regular CD burns in addition.

What you are doing is actually a very good idea. Though some may differ on the media you are storing, but there is no doubt about the objective. At the end of the day we should take the backup of our work. For those who work on continuous updations they should take backup twice a day.

Everyone has a point regarding the back up of files, and we should be responsible.

It's not worth the expense or the hassle for me. I just make some back-up CDs.

I actually do it but it is because it's easier than making a c.d. I use my laptop strictly for word processing when I'm not at my desktop so it's just an easier method of transferring stuff for me.
