How many people travel with their laptop? Thanksgiving is coming up and I'm trying to decide whether or not to bother lugging it around. Anyone ever drop there's?

Hehe I've actually fed-exed my laptop to meet me when I got there. I don't trust the airlines and don't know how I'd react if I was told to check it. Mine has four unpublished novels on it. LOL that is a lot to lose.

I havent got a laptop and I dont think travelling with a pc is really an option!
I would love my own laptop but I still dont think I would travel with it incase it was lost in luggage arrivals etc!

I've travelled with my laptop - last time, I accidentally left it on a train!!

Luckily, I got it back - but when you hear about all these stories on the news about laptops with sensitive information going missing, I now realise how it easily it happens.

I always fly with mine, and I have never really had much of a problem. They've never made me check it before.
