Hi,

I was wondering whether podcasts could be downloaded to other MP3 players, besides ipods. I have an ipod and love downloading all the podcasts. I have a friend who is thinking of getting a MP3 player (not an ipod) and would like to introduce him to some good podcasts, but am not sure whether it's possible on other players.

If the podcasts are in mp3 format, then yes. Be aware that, though it may sometimes seem like it, iTunes is not required to download mp3 podcasts. It's used to automatically download them for you.

You can download any podcast that is in a standard (usually mp3 format). I actually prefer them in Mp3 format, rather than apple's own protective one.
