Default MP3 Players on Cell Phones

What are the MP3 players on cell phones like? Do they work just as well as ordinary MP3 players? Are they easy to use? I have an ipod, but am thinking of getting a new phone. It might be nice to get one with a back-up MP3 player.

Whatever you choose, I just hope those batteries are really good.

Try to get the Sony Ericsson W900i or if it is not available try the Sony Ericsson W950i these are both mobile phones with a great sound of MP3, i tried the W900i and the sound is great, the disadvantage of W900i is bulky.Try to check the site of sony ericsson to know the details of the 2 units.

I have a Sony Ericsson k750i (popular in Norway, I've heard, lol) and it serves as my mp3 player those times when I use one.

I'm considering a Zune though just because I hate draining my battery.

I have heard the LG550 is decent for a moderately inexpensive phone to play MP3s. It comes with a memory card so you can store more, but it's only 64MB. The good thing is that you can just go buy another one to upgrade your memory capacity - They have cards that can store up to 2 gigs or more out there now! That's as good as an iPod.

Yeah, my k750i came with like 32meg, but I keep a gig stick in there now.

Do you use the phone as your MP3 player? I have a separate MP3 player, but it doesn't have rechargeable batteries and I get tired of replacing them. I was thinking of upgrading to a cell phone with a MP3 player for the gym since I can recharge and it's always with me, but I heard that it does drain your battery pretty fast. Do you find that your battery dies quicker?

I don't have an mp3 player of my own yet, so I do use the phone from time to time. It does drain the battery and my phone was imported when I got it so I can't get a US car charger.
