This is a pretty cool looking phone
Samsung is throwing down another 7 megapixel cameraphone -- 7.7 to be precise -- but this time they're adding DMB and a whole lot of screen love. The design for the B500 is similar to their SCH-V770, but to make room for the extra pixels they've transferred the keypad to a slide out form factor. Despite this they manage to keep the phone reasonably thin at 0.7-inches, while still tossing in a 3x optical zoom, video out, and a T-Flash slot. No word on price or availability.

Samsung made some quality handphones nowadays.
I'm impressed.
Optical zoom is zooming with the lens right ?
Not just cropping the image ?

That's pretty cool. What they've got going on with cell phones now-a-days, is pretty evolutionary-ish. What used to be a simple device to share phone conversations, evolves into a computer, phone, video camera, camera, palm pilot, and who knows, maybe they'll add the kitchen sink. LOL

Looks better than my digital camera. LoL. Seriously a really awesome phone but of course price would be too high.
And yes, gema.. optical zoom is indeed with lens. The one which crops the image is digital zoom.

Yes, I must say I like the look and feel of this to.
It would be interesting to know more about the functionality though.

Re: This is a pretty cool looking phone
Part of me says it is too long, and part of me says it is about time they made a video screen the bulk of the device's height and not 1/3 of it.

Re: This is a pretty cool looking phone
The screen does in fact look big...it may just be the image that is stretched; looks interesting nonetheless.

Not bad at all. I think the screen is a little to tall though. I like how square the Razr phone is. It feels pretty much like a miniature television.

I suppose I am one of the few who doesn't like that phone. It looks more like a glorified remote control in my opinion than a phone.

Re: This is a pretty cool looking phone
7.7 megapixels?!!! I think I'm in love with a new phone. One reason why I got my SE k800i is because it has a 3.2megapixel camera on it. But now that I've seen the light, I'm all for samsung now. Well at least I'll buy one if it becomes available here in the Philippines. What type of Memory device does it support? If I would have that phone, I'll definitely put in a 2GB memory for starters.
