The answers to this thread would depend on where one lives.
As for me, I am using our PLDT-DSL. It is good but it can't access some sites. I am planning to transfer to Globe Broadband as most people has been joining it because of their promotion of free landline fee for a year or a low cost PC. The prices for our DSL & Broadband is the same except that Broadband has a promotion right now.
I'm in the US and can ONLY get Hughesnet for any kind of high speed download. Has anyone had experience with them, and is it worth the very high price that I'm going to have to pay?
I'm in the US and have had good luck with SBC DSL but they were just bought out by AT and T which as a rule, I really dislike. Service is fine so far, tho
I wonder if AT&T would come to my house. I haven't been able to get Bellsouth out here. But if they heard the competition was coming then maybe they would do something!
I live in the US and have Cox High Speed Internet. It's much faster than anything else we have available in my area, and the service is usually pretty good too. They have upped our speeds 3 times in the last 3 years too.
I'm finally getting DSL on Monday--it's FINALLY available to me. Wireless is still too expensive, but I did order a wireless modem. Yea....no more dial-up!
The day that I didn't have to use dial up anymore was one of the best days of my life!! I was having to upload large files via email for school, and I was on AOL. It would take forever to upload, and then sometimes it would just time out. Very frustrating. I'm spoiled with my speed now!
