Default Wireless connection stability

I am currently subscribed to a cable broadband network which is stable. As I have no idea about wireless network other than usage of mobile technology where sometimes there are drops. Will there be any chance of connections dropping?

Are you considering setting up a wireless network inside your home? Or am I misreading your question?

There's always the possiblity of your connection dropping via wireless no matter what your network is. I have a wireless network in my home, and I have no problems with losing connection, unless my internet service has issues. You have to get the right router too, because there are bad ones that DO make you lose connectivity.

First, how do you determine your router? Won't it come with service?

Second, in my home my cell phone has been known to go in and out (from five bars to none) with me sitting in the same place holding the phone the same way. Wouldn't that mean that any wireless could drop as well?

Kelkat, you wireless home networks use equipment you own. You'll know what your router is when you buy it. Hopefully, you'll (general you) will know before you buy it because you have done your research.

The wireless network will be based inside your home so you won't have issues related to weather, cloud cover, wind, etc that you have with cellular service.
